Dedie Rachim: WUF13 helps Indonesia learn global urbanization practices

The 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) provides Indonesia with an opportunity to adopt international experience in addressing urbanization challenges, the mayor of the Indonesian city of Bogor, Dedie Rachim, stated in an interview with Report.

"This is an important platform for finding solutions. For countries like Indonesia, the forum provides an opportunity to study the experience of other nations in addressing problems related to waste, housing, infrastructure, and transportation systems," the mayor said.

According to him, Indonesia also intends to present its own proposals to build connections between countries facing similar challenges.

Sharing his impressions of visiting Baku, the mayor noted that it is a very beautiful city with well-developed infrastructure and comfortable conditions, whose experience could be useful for application in Indonesia.

"Baku has many public spaces, parks, a well-organized urban environment, and competently planned urban development," he emphasized.
