"Discussions are underway on the Iran-Turkey-Azerbaijan trilateral meeting date," Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said at a press conference on September 7.
"Relations between Iran and Azerbaijan know no bounds. Sending a higher-level diplomat as ambassador to Azerbaijan is a step in this direction," he noted.
The new Iranian ambassador to Azerbaijan, Abbas Mousavi, previously worked as a spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry.
