Daniel Ondruš: Slovak companies showing growing interest in projects with Azerbaijan

The growing interest of Slovak companies in Azerbaijan demonstrates the strengthening of economic ties between the two countries, Daniel Ondruš, head of the Foreign Trade Department at the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO), said at the Azerbaijani-Slovak Business Forum in Baku, Report informs.

According to him, the forum is the result of close cooperation with Azerbaijani partners and aims to create a platform where companies can establish new business contacts and develop specific areas of cooperation.

"The mission of the SARIO is to help Slovak companies expand their international presence and find reliable partners abroad. Such business forums are one of the most effective tools for achieving this goal," said Ondruš.

He emphasized that the Slovak delegation included companies representing a wide range of industries, including agriculture and food processing, mechanical engineering, defense, water management, infrastructure, energy, mining, and information and communications technology.

"They arrived in Baku with a genuine interest in exploring the Azerbaijani market, exchanging experiences, and establishing long-term business partnerships," he said.

According to Ondruš, this is the fourth time SARIO has organized a business mission to Azerbaijan in the past three years.

"We see this as clear evidence of the growing interest of Slovak companies in Azerbaijan and the consistent strengthening of economic ties between our countries," he noted.

The head of the department expressed confidence that the current forum will only be the beginning of the implementation of new joint projects.

Ondruš added that SARIO will continue to support both Slovak and Azerbaijani companies in developing contacts and implementing agreements reached, wishing the participants productive meetings, meaningful discussions, and successful new partnerships.
