Chinese envoy: Beijing to continue to support Baku in protecting Azerbaijan's sovereignty

China will continue to firmly support Baku in protecting the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and security of Azerbaijan, Chinese Ambassador to Azerbaijan Lu Mei said, Report informs.

She also stressed that President Ilham Aliyev reaffirmed that "Azerbaijan firmly supports all efforts of the Chinese government to implement the country's reunification with Taiwan."

The diplomat noted that the visit of the president of Azerbaijan to China was marked by the signing of 20 documents in the fields of economy, trade, transport, aerospace industry, science and technology, culture and local government.

"The parties reached a number of specific agreements in such areas as the establishment of a working group on investment cooperation, the launch of negotiations on a free trade agreement, the acceleration of the signing of an intergovernmental agreement on international road transport, joint organization of cultural days and tourism promotion events, etc., which opens up a wider space for deepening comprehensive cooperation," the ambassador added.
