The opening of the Armenian consulate in Tabriz is a political step, the Chairman of the Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center), Farid Shafiyev, said at the press conference on the result of the AIR Center's activity in 2023, Report informs.
"Opening the consulate there is a message for us, I think. But I don't see any threat in opening it there. However, I see some problems in Iran's attitude towards Azerbaijan, as it is not sincere and consistent. Our relations with Iran are going well, so I would not like to speak too negatively. But I have a question, to what extent they want our relationship to be normalized quickly and fundamentally," said Shafiyev.
