Bob Roberts: Attitude towards Muslims in US not very positive

Attitude towards Muslims in the USA is not very positive, according to Pastor Bob Roberts Jr., co-founder of the Multi-Faith Neighbors Network (MFNN), Report informs.

He made the remark at the international conference themed “Islamophobia in Focus: Unveiling Bias, Shattering Stigmas” in Baku.

The pastor noted that friendly relations should be formed in order to be effective in combating Islamophobia:

"Muslims, Christians and Jews must take steps together. The unity of people with religious beliefs is very important. Islamophobia is a very negative factor not only for Muslims but also for Christians. I used to be very afraid of Muslims. I was hesitant to communicate with them. I believed this for years. But after my trip to Afghanistan, all my thoughts changed. I established good relationships with religious figures there and many issues became clear to me. For example, attitudes towards Muslims in the US are not very positive. This stems from a lack of knowledge about Islam," Pastor Bob Roberts Jr. stated.
