Berdimuhamedov: Central Asia–Azerbaijan six-sided format to give new impetus to co-op

The new six-sided cooperation format of the Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan will help bring the regional states closer together and give additional dynamics to cooperation.

According to Report's correspondent in Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan President Serdar Berdimuhamedov made the remarks at the informal consultative meeting of the heads of state of Azerbaijan and Central Asia.

"I am sincerely glad to greet the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, respected Ilham Heydar oghlu [Ilham Aliyev], at this meeting," Berdimuhamedov stated.

He recalled that last year at the Consultative Meeting of the Central Asian heads of state in Tashkent, a unanimous decision was made regarding Azerbaijan's full-fledged participation in this format.

"Mr. Ilham Heydar oghlu, allow me to once again congratulate you and, in your person, Azerbaijan," the Turkmen president noted.
