Berdimuhamedov: Central Asia-Azerbaijan format creates conditions for economic and technological development

The Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Azerbaijan forms key political and practical foundations for moving forward together, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov stated, closing the 8th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan in Avaza.

Report's correspondent in Turkmenistan quotes him as saying this format creates prerequisites for accelerated economic and technological development, as well as ensures the consistency of humanitarian cooperation.

Berdimuhamedov noted that the meeting in Avaza gave creative and constructive guidelines to the mentioned process.

"The proposals, ideas, and initiatives expressed by the heads of state are of an extremely specific nature, based on a realistic assessment of our prospects, and aimed at making maximum use of our powerful combined potential. The meeting confirmed the highest level of mutual understanding and trust between the heads of brotherly states, the ability to work together for the development, progress, and prosperity of our peoples, and to contribute to strengthening peace, stability, and security at both regional and global levels," Berdimuhamedov said.

The President of Turkmenistan noted that the six-sided format of consultative meetings opens up new opportunities for achieving these goals.

"The results of today's discussions have demonstrated this with all clarity," he added.
