Belgium FM backs Armenia-Azerbaijan peace efforts

Maxime Prevot, Belgium's deputy prime minister and foreign minister, said he hopes a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan will be signed soon.
He made the remarks in a post on X after a phone call with the Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, Report informs.
"I welcome the continued engagement of both Armenia and Azerbaijan in the peace process and express my hope for the prompt signing of a peace agreement," Prevot said.
The two sides also discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between Belgium and Armenia, as well as prospects for expanding cooperation between Armenia and the European Union.
They also exchanged views on current developments in the region.
