The Belgian Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs and Foreign Trade and the Federal Cultural Institutions has expressed hope that new consultations in Baku and Yerevan will lead to a historic turn, Report informs.
Even if this is difficult to achieve, the only way out of the historical conflict is through negotiations and compromises, Hadja Lahbib said speaking at a joint press conference with her Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan in Yerevan.
According to her, the recent talks showed that the signing of a peace treaty is within reach.
Consultations are to be held first in Brussels and then in Yerevan and Baku, Lahbib said noting that the parties can count on EU's assistance.
