Belgian FM says hopeful that new consultations will lead to historic turn

The Belgian Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs and Foreign Trade and the Federal Cultural Institutions has expressed hope that new consultations in Baku and Yerevan will lead to a historic turn, Report informs.
Even if this is difficult to achieve, the only way out of the historical conflict is through negotiations and compromises, Hadja Lahbib said speaking at a joint press conference with her Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan in Yerevan.
According to her, the recent talks showed that the signing of a peace treaty is within reach.
Consultations are to be held first in Brussels and then in Yerevan and Baku, Lahbib said noting that the parties can count on EU's assistance.
