Bayramov: Regional developments concern both Azerbaijan and Türkiye

Current developments, turbulence and security challenges in the region are a source of concern for both Azerbaijan and Türkiye, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said.

According to Report, Bayramov made the remarks at a joint press briefing in Baku with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan.

"Against the backdrop of developments in the Middle East, we once again discussed the steps that Türkiye and Azerbaijan can take together. We also discussed developments in the region following the Washington meeting. We mutually emphasized once again the importance of continuing this coordination and consultations," the minister said.

Bayramov also noted that Azerbaijan-Türkiye cooperation is of great importance within the UN and its bodies, the Organization of Turkic States, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, D-8, the OSCE and a number of other platforms.

The minister added that the bilateral meeting also covered the Organization of Turkic States summit to be held in Türkiye this year.

"This organization is a family that unites brotherly countries. In this sense, the development of relations is important for all countries," Bayramov said.
