Since gaining independence, Azerbaijan has made a long journey transforming from a country imposed with the security challenges on its own soil to a contributor to global security, Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said at the Council of Europe summit in Reykjavik, according to Report.
"Having put an end to a armed conflict with Armenia in 2020 Azerbaijan has been actively involved in securing lasting peace with Armenia despite the long years of suffering, deprivation and devastation that the people of Azerbaijan were subjected to as a 30 year long military occupation," he said.
