Bayramov, Araghchi mull diplomatic agenda, situation in region

Azerbaijani and Iranian Foreign Ministers Jeyhun Bayramov and Abbas Araghchi have discussed regional developments and bilateral relations in a telephone conversation today, Report informs referring to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

"Ministers Bayramov and Araghchi discussed Azerbaijani-Iranian bilateral relations, the current situation in the region, and the progress of the negotiation process within this framework. They also discussed prospects for a diplomatic and political settlement of the situation surrounding Iran," reads the update.

Araghchi provided detailed information on the negotiation process (with the US – ed.).

Bayramov stated his support for efforts to resolve the conflict in the Middle East peacefully and through negotiations.

The ministers also exchanged views on other bilateral, regional, and international issues of mutual interest.
