Unfortunately, there are still people with revanchist views against Azerbaijan in Armenia, and they are openly demonstrating this approach during the election campaign, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said.
Report informs that Bayramov made the remarks to journalists during a visit to the Alley of Honor on the occasion of the 103rd birth anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
The minister said the parliamentary elections to be held in Armenia on June 7 are important for the country's political future.
"The formation of the government effectively depends on the results of these elections, and there is a tense struggle there. Different political groups are using various means during the election campaign. Unfortunately, there are still people with revanchist views against Azerbaijan in Armenia, and they are openly demonstrating this approach during the election campaign," he said.
Bayramov stressed that Azerbaijan, as a leading state in the region, would continue to pursue a policy in line with its national interests.
"The Azerbaijani state is closely monitoring the processes and builds its policy primarily on the basis of Azerbaijan's national interests," he said.
