Azerbaijani, Senegalese MPs discuss interparliamentary ties

Members of Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis met with a delegation of Senegal's National Assembly, which arrived in Azerbaijan to attend the 20th session of the Conference of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States, Report informs, citing the Press and Public Relations Department of the Milli Majlis.
MP Jeyhun Mammadov noted that Azerbaijan attaches great importance to interparliamentary cooperation and the development of ties. According to him, contacts between parliamentarians contribute to strengthening friendly and partnership relations between countries.
Head of the Senegalese delegation Elhadji Ababacar Tambedou highly appreciated the level of stability and security in Azerbaijan and emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation not only in the parliamentary sphere but also in other areas. He also noted the high level of organization of the 20th session of the PUIC Conference in Baku.
The sides discussed the current state of relations between Azerbaijan and Senegal, prospects for cooperation and interaction on international parliamentary platforms, and exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
