Azerbaijani Parliament speaker to attend coronation of Charles III

Azerbaijani Parliament Speaker Sahiba Gafarova will attend the coronation ceremony of King Charles III of the UK, British Ambassador to Azerbaijan Fergus Auld said in an interview with Report.

“On Monday, I went to go and see Madam Speaker, Sahiba Gafarova. So just as she represented Azerbaijan at the state funeral in September, we're also very much looking forward to welcoming her to London on Saturday for the coronation,” the ambassador said.

The coronation ceremony of Charles III will take place at Westminster Abbey in London on May 6. He will be the 40th reigning monarch to be crowned at Westminster Abbey. The first coronation took place in 1066.
