Azerbaijani MFA: Search for captain of vessel struck near Odesa continues

The search for the captain of the civilian merchant vessel attacked by a drone on July 14 off the coast of Odesa, Ukraine, continues, Report informs referring to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

The ministry confirmed that 10 Azerbaijani citizens, members of the crew of the attacked vessel, were returned to their homeland via Türkiye after crossing into Moldova.

On July 14, at approximately 3:15 PM (GMT+3), the civilian merchant vessel Atlas Bey, owned by the Turkish company Okean Maritime, was attacked by a drone off the coast of Odesa.

There were 11 Azerbaijani citizens on board the vessel. With the exception of the vessel's captain, an Azerbaijani citizen, the remaining crew members were taken ashore in Odesa.
