Azerbaijani journalists arrive in Bishkek

Azerbaijani journalists have arrived in Bishkek as part of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's working visit to Kyrgyzstan.

According to Report's correspondent dispatched to Bishkek, the opening ceremony of the 6th World Nomad Games will be held in the Kyrgyz capital on August 31. Azerbaijan will be represented at the Games in the sports, cultural and scientific programs.

In addition, on September 1, Bishkek will host a regular meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states and a SCO Plus summit chaired by Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov.

The heads of state will discuss current international and regional issues, priorities for the further development of the SCO, as well as prospects for deepening cooperation in the political, trade and economic, transport and logistics, digital, environmental, and cultural and humanitarian spheres.

The Bishkek Declaration on the 25th anniversary of the SCO, along with documents and decisions aimed at further strengthening multifaceted cooperation and improving the organization's activities, will be signed following the meeting.
