Azerbaijani ambassador meets parliamentary secretary of Latvian Foreign Ministry

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Latvia Elnur Sultanov has met with Parliamentary Secretary of the Latvian Foreign Ministry Gunda Reire, Report informs referring to the embassy.

During the conversation, the sides discussed the prospects for bilateral strategic partnership.

"We expressed satisfaction with the development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Latvia and discussed the prospects for further strengthening the strategic partnership," said Ambassador Elnur Sultanov.

In turn, the representative of the Latvian foreign ministry said that Gunda Reire highly appreciated the successful development of the bilateral dialogue.

During the meeting, the situation in the South Caucasus region in the post-conflict period was also discussed.

Elnur Sultanov informed Gunda Reire about the ongoing restoration work in the liberated Azerbaijani territories, about the situation on the Khankandi-Lachin road and about Azerbaijan's efforts to establish peace in the region.
