Azerbaijani ambassador meets new head of Georgia's State Security Service

Azerbaijan's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Georgia Faig Guliyev met with the newly appointed head of Georgia's State Security Service, Geka Geladze.

Report informs that during the meeting, Ambassador Faig Guliyev congratulated Geka Geladze on his appointment to the new post and wished him success in his future work.

Geladze, in turn, emphasized the importance of close cooperation between the security agencies of Azerbaijan and Georgia and said they are ready to further develop this partnership.

The sides discussed the existing strategic partnership between the two countries, the main areas of cooperation in the security sphere and the current situation in the region.

They also exchanged views on ensuring regional security. Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed.
