Azerbaijani ambassador discusses cooperation prospects with Kenyan minister

Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Kenya Sultan Hajiyev met with Kenya’s Minister of Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development Alice Wahome to discuss prospects for bilateral cooperation.

Report informs, citing the embassy that Kenya’s significant experience in providing affordable housing, as well as in sustainable urban development and climate adaptation, was highlighted during the meeting.

The two sides also discussed preparations for the 13th UN World Urban Forum (WUF13), scheduled to take place in Baku in 2026, and expressed interest in strengthening collaboration in this field.

The ambassador invited the minister to participate in the 3rd Azerbaijan National Urban Forum, which will be held on October 15–17, 2025, in Khankandi and Baku.
