Azerbaijan, World Bank discuss prospects for expanding cooperation

On September 10, Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov met with a delegation led by Rolande Pryce, the World Bank's Regional Director for the South Caucasus, the country's Cabinet of Minister told Report.

It was noted during the meeting that Azerbaijan and the World Bank have a long-standing and productive partnership, and that projects jointly implemented over the years have contributed to supporting Azerbaijan"s socio-economic development.

The sides emphasized that there are good opportunities to expand cooperation in sustainable urban development, green energy, transport infrastructure, agriculture, water supply and water resources management, as well as a number of other areas.

The meeting focused on the prospects for developing mutually beneficial cooperation between Azerbaijan and the World Bank and future joint projects.

Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) Taleh Kazimov also attended the meeting.
