Azerbaijan waiting for response from Armenia, says Hikmat Hajiyev

Armenia must correctly assess the new geopolitical situation in the region and draw conclusions, said Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, Report informs.

He noted that President Ilham Aliyev also touched upon issues related to the normalization of Azerbaijani-Armenian relations in an interview with local television channels:

"In his interview, the President talked about the start of negotiations on signing a potential peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia. We expect relevant responses from Armenia."
