Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan discuss strategic partnership

The foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, Jeyhun Bayramov and Bakhtiyor Saidov, held a telephone conversation and discussed the development of the strategic partnership between the two countries.

"I had a telephone conversation with Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov. We discussed the current state and prospects for further development of the strategic partnership and allied relations between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, and exchanged views on the schedule of upcoming events at various levels," Saidov said in a post on social media, as quoted by Report.

The ministers paid particular attention to further deepening cooperation in trade and economic relations, investment, transport and logistics, energy, and other areas of mutual interest.

"During the conversation, we also reviewed other issues on the bilateral and multilateral agenda that are of mutual interest," the Uzbek foreign minister added.
