Azerbaijan, UN-Habitat to prepare guide for future WUFs based on Baku experience

Azerbaijan and UN-Habitat intend to prepare an informational and operational guide for organizing future World Urban Forums based on the experience of holding WUF13 in Baku.

Anar Guliyev, Chairman of the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture, said this in a statement following the first day of WUF13, Report informs.

According to him, the successful preparations for the forum in the Azerbaijani capital showed the need to preserve and transfer the accumulated experience to future host countries.

"Recognizing the successful preparations for WUF13 in Baku, we also see the need to preserve and further share this experience with future host countries. Based on the 'Baku Standards' developed by the WUF13 Operating Company in Azerbaijan, we intend to jointly prepare, together with UN-Habitat, an informational and operational guide for organizing future World Urban Forums," Guliyev said.
