Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan discuss transport and digital cooperation development

Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Turkmenistan Gismat Gozalov and Turkmenistan's Deputy Prime Minister Batyr Annayev have discussed the development of transport and digital cooperation between the two countries, Report informs via Turkmen media.

The meeting emphasized the importance of high-level political dialogue and mutual visits in strengthening relations between the countries. It was noted that cooperation had reached a strategic level thanks to the political will of the leaders of Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan.

The talks focused on cooperation in transport, transit, logistics, digital development and telecommunications. The sides noted that the favorable geographical location of the two countries and the region's growing transit potential create additional opportunities for expanding transport corridors.

The parties also discussed new areas of cooperation in digital development, modernization of telecommunications infrastructure and strengthening transport and logistics ties as part of the activities of the joint intergovernmental commission.

The sides reaffirmed their mutual interest in the further development of the strategic partnership.
