Azerbaijan to host first joint meeting of OTS inter-parliamentary friendship groups

The first joint meeting of inter-parliamentary friendship groups of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) will be held in Azerbaijan, Samil Ayrim, the co-chairman of the Türkiye-Azerbaijan Interparliamentary Friendship Group, MP from the ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party) in the Grand National Assembly, said in an interview with the Ankara office of Report.

He said it's planned to hold a joint congress of the OTS inter-parliamentary friendship groups: "We have discussed this with the Speaker of the Azerbaijan Milli Majlis, Sahiba Gafarova. Gafarova also said that she will inform the country's leadership about this. Presumably, the first congress will be held in Azerbaijan."
