Azerbaijan's Independence Day marked with official reception in Oman

An official reception was organized by Azerbaijan's Embassy in the Sultanate of Oman in Muscat on the occasion of May 28 - Independence Day.

Anwar bin Hilal bin Hamdoon Al Jabri, Oman"s Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, attended the event as guest of honor, along with Omani state and government officials, representatives of the Foreign Ministry, members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of the Azerbaijani community, businesspeople and media representatives.

The official part of the event began with the playing of the national anthems of Azerbaijan and Oman. In his opening speech, Ambassador Rashad Ismayilov spoke about the history of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, the development path of modern Azerbaijan and the achievements the country has made under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev. Satisfaction was expressed with the development of Azerbaijan-Oman relations.

As part of the event, videos reflecting Azerbaijan"s tourism potential and historical and cultural heritage were shown, and a national music program was presented. Guests were offered examples of Azerbaijani national cuisine and souvenirs.
