Azerbaijan's ambassador attends inauguration of San Marino's new leaders

Azerbaijan's ambassador to San Marino (also ambassador to Italy) Rashad Aslanov attended the inauguration ceremony of the country's Captains Regent Alice Mina and Vladimiro Selva, Report informs, citing Azerbaijan's Embassy in Italy.
The Captains Regent of the Republic of San Marino are the country's two heads of state (a diarchy). The electoral system in San Marino includes the election of both the heads of state (Captains Regent) and the legislative body (the Grand and General Council). The Grand and General Council is a unicameral parliament consisting of 60 members. The members are elected by universal suffrage for a term of five years. The Captains Regent are elected by the Grand and General Council every six months. Their term of office runs from April 1 to October 1.
