Azerbaijan, Romania discuss energy and regional security

Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, during a meeting with the Adviser to the President of Romania on National Security, Marius-Gabriel Lazurca, discussed the current state and prospects of the strategic partnership between Baku and Bucharest.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, cited by Report, the sides also discussed issues of regional security and energy partnership.
It was noted that energy remains one of the key areas of cooperation. The sides reviewed opportunities for cooperation in the field of green and alternative energy, as well as prospects for expanding cooperation in transport, communications, education, and pharmaceuticals.
Bayramov informed his counterpart about the favorable investment climate in Azerbaijan and the growing role of the Alat Free Economic Zone as a regional trade and logistics hub, noting the opportunities this creates for Romanian companies.
The sides also emphasized the importance of cooperation within international organizations, including in the context of cooperation with the European Union.
