Azerbaijan ready to support joint climate initiatives with partners

Azerbaijan is ready to contribute, together with regional and international partners, to supporting joint initiatives on climate change mitigation and adaptation.

Report informs that First Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan Aghakarim Samadzada said this during his speech at a session titled "Climate-Resilient Cities and Communities in the Caspian Region: Securing Climate Finance for Urban Adaptation," held within the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku.

According to him, today's discussions have brought forward new ideas on building climate-resilient cities and communities in the Caspian region:

"The forum also makes an important contribution to further strengthening regional cooperation in promoting innovative approaches to urban adaptation and mobilizing climate finance more effectively."
