Azerbaijan presents ASAN Service model at UN SDG 16 conference

The ASAN Service model has been presented at the UN Conference on Sustainable Development Goal 16 (SDG 16).
Report informs that the event, jointly organized by the Permanent Mission of Italy to the UN, the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs and the International Development Law Organization, was held under the theme "Driving Transformation and Coordinated Action for Sustainable Development."
Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of Azerbaijan Ulvi Mehdiyev addressed the conference.
It was noted that the ASAN Service model contributes to ensuring transparency and accountability in the provision of public services, increasing citizen satisfaction and institutional efficiency, and plays an important role in building strong institutions and an inclusive society.
The conference was attended by the UN Deputy Secretary-General, the President of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, the UN Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs, the President of the UN Economic and Social Council, Italy's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Director-General of the International Development Law Organization, as well as heads of relevant state institutions from various countries and representatives of academic circles.
As part of the visit, meetings were held with Italy's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Kenya's Minister of Public Service, Human Capital Development and Special Programmes.
During the meetings, a broad presentation was made on the ASAN Service experience, and prospects for cooperation were discussed. Azerbaijan's Permanent Representative to the UN Tofig Musayev also attended the meetings.
