Azerbaijan, Karelia may sign roadmap for economic cooperation

Azerbaijan and the Republic of Karelia may sign a roadmap for developing trade and economic cooperation, Report informs referring to the Azerbaijani Embassy in Russia.
The issue was discussed during a working meeting between Azerbaijan's First Deputy Minister of Economy, Elnur Aliyev, and Karelia's Head, Artur Parfenchikov, on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
During the talks, the parties focused on developing bilateral trade and investment ties. It was noted that Karelia is actively developing its southern and eastern foreign economic cooperation, while Azerbaijan is interested in expanding its partnership with Russian regions.
"A roadmap for developing trade and economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Karelia is currently under consideration," the diplomatic mission added.
