Azerbaijan, Jordan discuss inter-parliamentary co-op

Speaker of Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis (Parliament), Sahiba Gafarova, met with Mazen Torki Saoud Al-Qadi, Speaker of Jordan's House of Representatives, the Milli Majlis told Report.

The sides highlighted the high level of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Jordan, noting the important role of reciprocal visits and meetings of the two countries' leaders.

During the discussions, Gafarova emphasized cooperation and mutual support between the two nations within the UN, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Non-Aligned Movement, and other international organizations.

For his part, Al-Qadi expressed views on strengthening parliamentary ties, exchanging legislative experience, promoting investment, and expanding cooperation in humanitarian and youth-related fields. He stressed that this visit and meeting with the Speaker of the Milli Majlis provided a valuable opportunity to further broaden parliamentary relations.

The discussion also focused on cooperation between parliamentary committees and friendship groups, as well as the importance of continuing mutual support in international parliamentary organizations.

Other issues of mutual interest were also addressed.
