Azerbaijan highlights strong parliamentary ties with Slovakia

The visit of Slovak National Council Speaker Richard Raši to Azerbaijan demonstrates the high level of interparliamentary relations between the two countries, Speaker of Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova said at a joint press conference with her Slovak counterpart, Report informs.

Gafarova noted that bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Slovakia covers a wide range of areas, including the economy, trade, and energy.

"During his visit to Azerbaijan, Mr. Raši will also travel to our liberated territories. This will be his second visit to Karabakh. I believe the scale of reconstruction work carried out in Karabakh since 2022 will positively surprise him," she said.

According to Gafarova, the Slovak parliamentary delegation will also visit the village of Bash Garvand in the Aghdam district.

"As you know, the construction of this village is being carried out by Slovak companies. We highly appreciate Slovakia's support for Azerbaijan in the reconstruction of Karabakh. This village will become an example of Azerbaijani-Slovak friendship in the liberated territories," she added.
