Azerbaijan summons Polish ambassador, hands him protest note

Polish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Paweł Radomski was summoned to Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to Report, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said a strong protest was conveyed over a segment broadcast on August 26, 2026, on the Eastern Express program of Polish public broadcaster TVP.

The ministry said the material contained biased, subjective and completely unacceptable statements directed against the Azerbaijani state and its leadership. It also protested the provocative conduct of the program's host.

The Polish diplomat was told that the dissemination of information distorting reality raises concerns on the Azerbaijani side, particularly amid the normalization of relations and the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as Baku's continued efforts to ensure lasting peace, stability and security in the region, the ministry stressed.

The ministry also noted that the dissemination of negative materials about Azerbaijan by a public broadcaster funded by the Polish government is viewed as an unfriendly step that contradicts the spirit of partnership between the two countries and could seriously harm bilateral relations.

The Polish side was urged to take immediate and effective measures to stop such provocative campaigns against Azerbaijan.
