Azerbaijan-Bahrain relations discussed in New York

Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with his Bahraini counterpart Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani during his working visit to New York.

Report informs, citing Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry, that the ministers congratulated each other on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Bahrain and noted with satisfaction the useful cooperation in a number of areas over the years, including mutual support and solidarity demonstrated on multilateral platforms.

They emphasized the importance of using the existing potential to further expand cooperation, as well as intensifying mutual high-level visits and meetings in this direction, holding regular political consultations between the foreign ministries and enriching the bilateral legal framework.

The ministers discussed the current state and future prospects of Azerbaijan-Bahrain bilateral relations in the fields of economy, trade, energy, investment, tourism and high technologies, as well as other issues of mutual interest.

They also exchanged views on regional and international security developments, including the situation in the Middle East. The importance of promoting dialogue and diplomatic efforts to ensure regional stability and prevent further escalation was emphasized.
