Azerbaijan and Switzerland discuss expanding economic ties

Azerbaijan and Switzerland have held discussions on cooperation in the economic sector, Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov told a press briefing in Baku with Swiss Foreign Minister and OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Ignazio Cassis, according to Report.

Bayramov said that in this context, the two countries have 25 existing documents, while several others are currently being prepared, with additional agreements expected to be signed in the near future.

"Over the past 30 years, Switzerland has invested $1.6 billion in Azerbaijan, while Azerbaijan has invested $2.3 billion in Switzerland," the minister said.

Bayramov also noted that the next meeting of the joint economic commission between the two countries is expected to take place this autumn.
