ASAN Service model adopted by over 600 centers globally, chairman says

The ASAN Service model created in Azerbaijan is currently applied in more than 600 centers worldwide, serving over 800 million people - approximately 10% of the planet's population, Chairman of ASAN Service Ulvi Mehdiyev stated at the conference "Strengthening Global Solidarity through Humanitarian Aid and Development Cooperation," Report informs.

The conference was dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the Azerbaijan International Development Agency (AIDA).

According to Mehdiyev, the creation and successful implementation of the ASAN system serves as a key indicator of Azerbaijan's development.

"Created on the initiative of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev as an omnichannel system for public service delivery, ASAN Service transformed the relationship between citizens and the state, replacing bureaucracy with efficiency and promoting transparency and innovation," Mehdiyev said.

He noted that the model, built on principles of accountability and simplicity, has become a symbol of effective public administration recognized both within Azerbaijan and internationally.

The head of the service recalled that ASAN Service was honored with the UN Public Service Award in 2015 and received a special UN award in 2019 for promoting innovation in digital public service delivery.

"We have shared the experience and concept of ASAN Service with more than 40 countries across four continents. Pakistan, Indonesia, Ethiopia, Uganda, Uzbekistan, and Afghanistan have established public service centers built on the ASAN model," Mehdiyev noted, emphasizing that Azerbaijani innovation has become a practical tool for international development cooperation.
