ASAN model in urbanization discussed at WUF13

The ASAN Volunteers Organization held a panel meeting on the topic "ASAN Model in Urbanization: The Role of Public Services and Volunteering" within the framework of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) held in Baku, Report informs.

Zarina Mirabdullayeva, Regional Coordinator for Europe and Central Asia of the United Nations Volunteers Programme, Asli Ibrahimli, Head of the "ASAN Appeal" Operations Sector at "ASAN Service," and Aysiman Guliyeva, Chairperson of the "ASAN Volunteers" Organization, shared their views on the role of innovative public services in the context of urbanization, the implementation of digital solutions, the engagement of youth in volunteering activities, and the formation of an inclusive urban environment.

During the panel, extensive discussions were held on increasing accessibility of public services during the urbanization period, the role of volunteering in the development of society, inclusive urban approaches, the social impact of the "ASAN Service" model, and the "ASAN Appeal" information system that supports infrastructure-oriented policy within the "ASAN Service" ecosystem.

Afterwards, an interactive session dedicated to the topic of "Baku Architecture and Urban Planning in Azerbaijan" was organized for participants.

Within this framework, questions related to the architectural heritage of the capital, urban planning traditions, modern urbanization processes, and projects implemented in the field of urban planning in Azerbaijan were answered.
