ARMAC: Memorandum with ANAMA to lay foundation for further cooperation

The memorandum of understanding signed by the ASEAN Regional Mine Action Center (ARMAC) and the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA) will serve as a foundation for further cooperation between the two organizations, ARMAC Executive Director Rothna Buz said during a panel discussion held as part of the 4th International Mine Action Conference.

Report quotes Buz as saying cooperation between ARMAC and ANAMA began in 2024 through mutual visits and the exchange of expertise.

She noted that the parties' cooperation is aimed at sharing knowledge and practical experience, establishing professional ties, and identifying new areas of cooperation in the field of mine action.

"Regional cooperation allows countries to avoid starting from scratch in addressing challenges, instead drawing on each other's experience and jointly finding effective solutions," the ARMAC executive director stressed.
