Another group of Ukrainian children affected by the war in Ukraine has been sent to Azerbaijan, Report's Eastern Europe bureau informs.
Azerbaijani Ambassador to Ukraine Seymur Mardaliyev and embassy counselor Farid Babayev attended the farewell ceremony for children of families displaced from Mariupol.
Ambassador Seymur Mardaliyev said the Azerbaijani state would continue its humanitarian assistance and support for Ukraine.
Mariupol Deputy Mayor Yuriy Pivovarov said more than 30 children were being sent to Azerbaijan.
"It is a great honor for me to be here today and send the first group of children from Mariupol to Azerbaijan. The children will undergo rehabilitation, and we thank Azerbaijan for this. This is the first time we are sending them to Azerbaijan for health and recreation purposes. We highly appreciate this," he added.
With this, the number of Ukrainian children who have undergone rehabilitation in Azerbaijan will exceed 600.
During the visit, the children will receive individual consultations organized by professional psychologists, group therapy, meditation and yoga sessions, as well as psychosocial training and master classes aimed at stabilizing their emotional state and supporting their integration into society.
