Anar Guliyev meets former UN-Habitat Executive Director

Chairman of Azerbaijan's State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture Anar Guliyev met with former UN-Habitat Executive Director Maimunah Mohd Sharif.

Report informs that Guliyev wrote about this on X.

He said it was a great pleasure to meet Sharif again, noting that her leadership marked the beginning of an important chapter in cooperation between Azerbaijan and UN-Habitat.

Guliyev said they warmly recalled the years when the foundations of this partnership were being laid.

According to him, this partnership eventually paved the way for Baku to host the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13).

He added that during Sharif's tenure, cooperation grew stronger through shared ideas, mutual trust and a common commitment to sustainable and people-centered urban development.
