ANAMA, ASEAN mine action center discuss expanding cooperation

Chairman of the Board of Azerbaijan's Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) Vugar Suleymanov met with a delegation led by Rothna Buth, Executive Director of the ASEAN Regional Mine Action Center (ARMAC), Report informs, citing ANAMA.

The sides discussed the current state and development prospects of cooperation between ANAMA and ARMAC in humanitarian demining, the importance of mutual exchange of experience, and opportunities to expand international cooperation in mine action.

They also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest in the field of humanitarian demining.

Earlier, ANAMA Deputy Chairman Samir Poladov met with a NATO delegation led by Eirini Lemos Maniati, Head of the Arms Control, Disarmament and Weapons of Mass Destruction Non-Proliferation Division.

Vugar Suleymanov, Chairman of the Board of the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, held a meeting with a delegation led by Rothna But, Executive Director of ARMAC.
