Anaclaudia Rossbach: WUF13 offers hope for the future

The 13th Session of the UN World Urban Forum (WUF13) gives everyone hope for looking ahead, Anaclaudia Rossbach, Executive Director of the UN Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), said at the joint opening session of the assemblies within the framework of the 13th Session of the UN World Urban Forum (WUF13).

Report quotes her as saying people from all over the world have gathered in Baku to convey various messages:

"WUF13 gives everyone hope for looking ahead. The decisions and discussions made on this platform will inspire solutions to the problems experienced in urban development. I call on everyone to contribute to solving the problems. Certain alliances can be built through this forum. This platform is accessible for making joint decisions. Everyone should take advantage of this accessibility."

Rossbach also drew attention to the role of women in urban development:

"What positions women hold and to what extent they can realize their potential should be a topic of discussion. Because their opinions in the field of urban development are extremely important."
