Ambassador: Slovakia to hold talks with Azerbaijan on gas purchases in September

Slovakia plans to hold talks with Azerbaijan on gas purchases in September, Slovak Ambassador to Azerbaijan Elcin Gasymov told Report.

According to him, supplies of natural gas from Azerbaijan are among the key areas on the agenda of bilateral cooperation between Baku and Bratislava.

"Our main priority on the agenda is, of course, gas cooperation with Azerbaijan. In this regard, our deputy minister will attend the investment forum (to be held in Baku on September 25-26 - ed.), while representatives of our gas company [SPP] will hold meetings with the Azerbaijani side," the diplomat said.

It was previously reported that Slovakia intends to purchase around 1.2 billion cubic meters of gas annually from Azerbaijan after 2027.
