Ambassador: High-level visits strengthen cooperation between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan

The visits of the leaders of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan strengthen and demonstrate the highest level of cooperation, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Azerbaijan Bahrom Ashrafkhanov said within the framework of the second meeting of the Azerbaijani-Uzbek expert council "Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan: promising areas for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation," Report informs.

"Comprehensive development of relations with Azerbaijan is among the key foreign policy priorities of Uzbekistan. We are witnessing the wide-ranging and ambitious reforms being carried out under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev in all spheres of life," the ambassador stated.

He emphasized that Uzbekistan is pleased to observe the rapid economic growth of Azerbaijan and the strengthening of its international standing.

According to the diplomat, the Uzbek people perceived the restoration of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity as a major historic event.
