Ambassador: China welcomes expansion of online sales of Azerbaijani products

China steadily holds the position of the 4th largest trading partner of Azerbaijan and the 2nd largest exporter, Ambassador of China to Azerbaijan Lu Mei said at an event dedicated to the first International Day for Dialogue Among Civilizations - June 10.

Report quotes her as saying bilateral pragmatic cooperation between the countries continues to actively deepen.

"According to the official statistics of Azerbaijan, from January to April of this year, the volume of bilateral trade reached $1.4 billion, which is approximately 37% more than last year. The trend of high development dynamics continues. China firmly holds the position of the 4th largest trading partner of Azerbaijan and the 2nd largest exporter to this country. The Chinese side also welcomes the expansion of sales of Azerbaijani products through Chinese e-commerce platforms," ​​she noted.

Lu Mei stressed that the relevant departments of the two countries are actively exploring new practical steps to deepen cooperation in areas such as green energy, economics, infrastructure, etc.
