Ambassador: Beijing ready to cooperate with Baku to promote mutually beneficial partnership

China expresses readiness for close cooperation with Azerbaijan to implement key agreements reached between President Ilham Aliyev and Chinese President Xi Jinping.

As Report informs, this was stated by Chinese Ambassador to Azerbaijan Lu Mei at an event dedicated to the 98th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army and the 80th anniversary of China's liberation from Japanese occupation.

The diplomat also emphasized that official Beijing is ready to cooperate with Baku to promote mutually beneficial partnership for the benefit of the peoples of both countries.

"Over the 33 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, Chinese-Azerbaijani ties have demonstrated a steady development dynamic. Fruitful cooperation in various fields has given a powerful impetus to strengthening our relations and brought tangible benefits to the peoples of both countries. In April this year, during President Ilham Aliyev's third state visit to China, Chinese President Xi Jinping and the President of Azerbaijan signed a joint statement on establishing a comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Azerbaijan. This document opened a new historical chapter in the development of bilateral relations," the ambassador noted.
