Germany seeks to extend dialogie with Azerbaijan, Germany's newly appointed ambassador to Azerbaijan Wolfgang Manig said.
"Azerbaijan is the major economic partner for us in the South Caucasus. Azerbaijan gives preference to Germany as a partner in modernization. We can offer much: for example, cooperation in the sphere of renewable energy sources and professional education," the ambassador said in his video message.
The diplomat noted that he had repeatedly been to Azerbaijan before during the business trips and that the dynamic development of Azerbaijan is 'just magnificent'.
"Baku is already not the city of black oil, but a young megapolis striving for progress," Manig said.
Speaking about the humanitarian ties, the diplomat noted that 1,400 Azerbaijani students study at German universities today.
"Certainly, along with this we seek to expand our political ties. We intend to intensify our dialogue in all spheres. I am happy to be here and I will work for the development of the German-Azerbaijani ties," the diplomat said.
